1. After starting the cooler, it is fully preheated in idle state, and can not preheat the throttle


When the cold machine starts, the engine temperature is very low, the oil viscosity is large, the liquidity is poor, and the friction pair surface can not be reached in a short time. When the throttle is high, because the engine temperature is low, the gasoline is not easy to vaporize, and more liquid gasoline enters the cylinder, which will dilute the lubricating oil film on the cylinder wall and aggravate wear


2. Timely charge the battery to avoid freezing and scrapping the battery


When the battery is depleted and the voltage is only 11.7 volts, -7.7℃ will freeze and scrap; When the battery is in full charge state, the voltage is 12.67 volts, -68℃ will freeze. Therefore, if the battery is fully charged, it will not freeze and scrap in cold areas. Therefore, in winter, especially in cold areas, the battery should be charged in time, so that the battery does not lose power, and the battery can be frozen and scrapped

3. Motorcycles should use winter oil in cold areas


Usually, motorcycles use oil viscosity grade 10W-30 or 10W-40, suitable for -20℃ or above ambient temperature. But in some cold areas in winter, the temperature is mostly lower than -20℃, then the viscosity grade of 5W-30 winter oil should be replaced, applicable to the ambient temperature above -30℃, 5W-30 winter oil has better low temperature resistance

4. Timely, high speed and long distance driving to avoid oil emulsification


Some of the water vapor from the combustion of the combustible mixture in the engine escapes into the crankcase, where it normally exits through the crankcase vent hose. But in winter, the ambient temperature is low, the engine is heating up slowly, the oil in the crankcase is heating up more slowly, the water vapor condenses into water at low temperature and enters the oil, the water in the oil is too much, and the oil is emulsified after stirring. Therefore, fully preheat before driving, timely high speed long distance driving (at a speed of 50 ~ 60km/h for more than 20 minutes), will not cause oil emulsification, even if there is emulsification, the water in the oil will evaporate, through the ventilation hose from the crankcase discharge, so as to eliminate emulsification. In addition, often check the color of the oil, oil turned white should be replaced immediately



5. In cold areas, store the motorcycle in a heated room as much as possible


Temperature and battery capacity into a certain linear relationship, the lower the temperature, the battery is easier to lose power, then the motorcycle normal electric start times will be reduced, or even unable to start. Therefore, in cold areas in winter, motorcycles should be placed in a place with higher temperature, such as a heated room

6. Concentrate the mixture appropriately


Low ambient temperature, gasoline is not easy to vaporize, and the air density has also increased, easy to cause thin mixture, resulting in difficult starting, easy flameout after starting, poor acceleration performance and other faults. In order to avoid the above failure, professional maintenance personnel should be asked to adjust the position of the carburetor mixing ratio screw and the main oil needle to properly adjust the concentration of the mixture


7. When driving on snow and ice covered roads, reduce the tire pressure appropriately


The road is icy or covered with snow, the motorcycle is easy to skid out of control. If you drive under such road conditions, you can properly deflate the tire, reduce the tire pressure, increase the tire grip area, reduce skidding


8. Clean up charcoal deposits in time


The weather is cold and the cycling speed is generally low and the mileage is short. Driving at low speed for a long time, the mixture can not be completely burned, and the spark plug, valve and piston are easy to produce carbon deposit, which seriously affects the riding and even causes the vehicle can not start. Therefore, the use of maintenance should be timely cleaning of the above parts of the carbon deposit
