Motorcycle electric start and remote control start can not be on the car, so check the circuit is the most clear

Recently, a Zongshen pedal motorcycle was repaired. The engine could not be started by electric starting or remote starting.


According to the working principle of electric starting circuit, when using electric starting, the starting operation can be completed by first stepping on the brake pedal and then pressing the start button.


Its working current is: ignition switch - brake lamp switch - brake lamp - grounding, which forms the working circuit of brake lamp and makes the brake lamp work;


The other way is: brake light switch starting relay coil starting button grounding, which forms the electric starting control working circuit to make the starting relay work, so as to make the starting motor work, so as to drive the engine to start.


According to the working principle of the remote control starting circuit, when the remote control starting button is pressed, the starting line of the anti-theft alarm outputs + 12V DC voltage to the ground.

Its working current is: anti-theft alarm starting line starting relay coil brake lamp grounding, which forms the remote control starting control working circuit to make the starting relay work, so as to make the starting motor work and drive the engine to start.


It is found that the brake lamp works normally when the brake is used; However, when the remote control is used, the brake light can not work.


The above shows that the ignition switch - brake lamp switch - brake lamp - grounding circuit is normal when starting with electricity; However, there is a fault in the brake light switch start relay coil start button ground circuit.


When the remote control is used to start, the brake lamp can not work, and there is no fault in the brake lamp, which indicates that there is a fault in the starting line starting relay coil brake lamp grounding circuit of the anti-theft alarm.


After the trouble free of the brake lamp has been eliminated, it indicates that the starting relay has trouble. It is likely that the starting relay coil and its connecting line have poor contact or open circuit fault.


Disconnect the cable harness connector of the start relay coil, and detect the start relay coil with a multimeter. The red and black probes are respectively connected to the two outgoing lines of the start relay coil, and the reading of the multimeter is infinite. The test results show that the coil of starting relay has open circuit fault.


Replace a good start relay and connect to the line. Use the brake, press the start button, conduct the electric start test, start the motor, and drive the engine to start smoothly. Turn off the ignition switch, turn off the engine, press the start button of the remote control, check the remote control start, start the motor, and drive the engine to start smoothly.


After inspection, it is confirmed that the failure of starting the engine by electric starting or remote starting has been eliminated
